Its been a very long time since I last updated due to my busy life and.... laziness :P Okay, so yesterday was my (and my clique's) loooong awaited day, USS together! Was really looking forward to it and was whatsapping my girls the day before. And looking at it now, the day is over, like so fast.

So at first we decided to meet at 9.30am, but then the boys went to look for batteries (but to no avail), and they were late by 32mins and 17 secs. First thing we tried is the all-new Transformers: The Ride. The whole thing is 4D, lika coolz. But I really wonder how the track like. Is it like, we stay on the spot and the vehicle moves left and right, or is it it really travels?? Okay then accelerator, I can seriously talk on the phone when I'm on the ride. Its so not fun! Next was the Battlestar Galactica Human and Cylon. So the dam funnnn. Then the mummy ride. I find that after a few times of taking the mummy ride, its not scary at all anymore, like don't really have the heart-come-out-from-mouth feeling. Same as the Human and Cylon. Then went to Jurassic Park for the water ride! Normally ppl use ponchos to cover themselves, but then we used ponchos to cover our bags. And the funny thing is I didn't get wet at alllll. Then continued with Jurassic Park before proceeding for lunch.

AFTER LUNCH! I think we went to the shrek place. I watched the 4D movie like soooooooooo many times alr, boringgg. Then the mini roller coaster! Okay and so on and on, went to watch the show by Steven Spielberg. And then spam played Human and Cylon to see who backed out first. Like seriously and continuously played the two rides. It becomes not scary after a few times. So after all the playing went to camwhore. After that went to Pizza Hut at HBF to have dinner. The service... bad. So we kept complaining and asked the manager to waive off the service charge. NOT BAD HUH. But I must admit that the manager's service is 99999999x better than their normal staff. After that went to Pet Safari at Vivo to have some gaga time over hamsters! And then arcade, obviously I didn't play, then HTHT and home.

So... how's life so far?? Currently I am still working... Longer hours this time round because I just learnt to do closing. Yeap, if you were to ask me about my JAE, I got into Mass Communication at NP. First choice! Happy max but I really hope I would do well in there.

I have moved into my aunt's house for quite sometime now, yes, I feel happier, but I miss my bed :( Mom also just went back on 5 feb. She came back from China for two weeks for CNY. This CNY wasnt really happening though. Mostly just stayed at home and face the computer. Then daddy's sister and brother came from Taiwan to pray daddy. Went to a lot of temples the few days when they're here. Travelled here and there, tired max. And daddy's brother reallllyyyyyyyyy looks like him! He talks like him and laughs like him too!

Okay so when I took the Cylon ride at USS, suddenly daddy came to my mind. When I was young daddy brought me to Escape Theme Park, which is closed down now. He got me into a ride which had 360 degrees turn, and I was totally, literally totally unprepared for that. So it obviously and totally freaked me out, but daddy just sat beside me, touched my hand and said, "Don't be scared! Daddy is here!" And btw that was my first scary ride. Yeap, I didn't really shout or whatsoever yesterday, mostly shout for fun. Cos my throat ain't really working well.

If there're any grammar/spelling mistakes then please forgive me.

Right toodles ppl!

We Not Naughty.

Hello, Happy Lunar New Year! Hope you get lots and lots of ang baos! For me, its just within the house I'm staying in, no relatives to visit. Every year, on the first day of lunar new year, my culture is to watch a movie with my family! SO, the main topic of my blog post today will be a short movie review on the movie I have watched today, We Not Naughty 《孩子不坏》.

Synopsis: Wei Jie and Jian Ren are best of friends in school, and they both face their share of family problems; Wei Jie has a gambling addict father and his mother who does not think highly of him always condemns him. Jian Ren comes from a well-to-do single parent family but has an estranged relationship with his mother. He becomes rebellious to spite his mother and even becomes a runner for the loansharks. They both share the talent and interest on gadgets inventions but their efforts are never recognized. CK, as their lecturer, tries to build a rapport with the boys but ends up being snubbed. His patience pays off and the boys end up seeking help from him for their family problems. CK even help the boys to create an invention for a competition. However, their invention is misused by the loansharks and in an attempt to stop that, CK, Wei Jie and Jian Ren’s lives are at risk.

What happens next... Watch it yourself.

Personally I feel that the movie is very suitable for anyone in Singapore. Father, mother, daughters, sons, sisters, brothers, teachers. I find it especially suitable for Mr Chui because the teacher in there resembles how Mr Chui has helped me throughout my schooling process. It has thought me how to appreciate our parents, especially our mother... and our family. Oh well, all of Jack Neo's films has this "appreciate family" kind of thing. The best part is that this movie, I think, describes extremely what the society is facing now. Naughty kids... no where to turn to... turn to loansharks and all. Aside from this "appreciate family" thing, the movie itself is also hilarious. BEST (Y). The funny parts were really funny. If you understand hokkien then I bet you would enjoy MOST of the hilarious parts.

I've learnt to appreciate my family and teachers who are always there for me, because these people, they're the most important. They're there for you when you get into trouble, forgive you when you get them into trouble. Those "brothers" run away once you get into trouble, hit you when you get them into trouble.

Oh yeah, see the picture? The little boy in the middle is very adorable. The two bigger guys, I prefer the one that is not Joshua (idk his name), but both are awesome! Bet they're best childhood friends cos they have been acting together since young. Think the movie is I Not Stupid.

Okay movie done. Go catch it! Let's move on with life.

Now I've officially moved back to my aunt's house to stay with my ahma & co. Which means I'm going to stay with my brother again. The irritating one. He's so irritating. He orders me like I'm his dog. OI I AM YOUR ELDER SIS, IDIOT. Now I'm blogging on my ahma's bed. He is on the other side of my ahma's bed shaking his leg, making the whole bed shake, The laptop shake, and me. He's funny at times but I swear that we would at least quarrel once a day. And going out with him is a total embarrassment. A few days ago we accompanied mom to the Gucci shop @ Orchard and he just walked into the mirror because he thought it was a can-walk-thru gap. What the hell right what the hell. -.- EMBARRASSING.

So how's your new year going? Dammit I have work from Wednesday till Sunday. I am taking a week off on the first week of Feb to accompany mum. If they don't allow, k lo, fire me.

That's all peeps cos my brother wants to play blackshot and he's patiently waiting for me to let him use the laptop.

See ya!

post O-level

You can exit this page, or you can continue reading.

HI! I know I've been dead for long. That's because I have no inspiration to write.

Okay so let's start with O level results. As most of us know, the release of the O levels results was on 9 January 2012, 2pm. So the usual thing is that many of the results collectors would be extremely nervous, anxious, worried, whatsoever. But I don't know why, I couldn't care more during 8 Jan. Maybe because I'm watching Hyun Joong's video and have no time to care, or maybe because I didn't have high expectations. Whatever the results may be, I told myself I've already given my best. You can't expect more from me.

So on 9 Jan, I woke up, did the usual routine and then started to write an appreciation letter for Mr Chui. After all, he helped me numerous times and I haven't had a chance to thank him yet. At 12pm, I left home and actually planned to go to Tiong Bahru Plaza to get a gift for Mr Chui. But Priscilla told me that the 'More Than Words' shop in there had already closed down. I already had in mind what I wanted to get for Mr Chui so I had to go to this type of soft toy shop. Okay so change destination to Vivo City. After all, there's Mini Toons, Action City and Miniature House there. So in the end I went to Action City to get a carebear for Mr Chui, because he's like a carebear, giving the utmost care to each and every one of us. I actually wanted to get a full blue carebear for him but then again, I saw this rainbow one, so I thought I would get that for him because every colour would represent one meaning (at least that's what I thought), although I don't know the meanings.

After that I went downstairs to buy some snacks for ahma because I was going to visit her first before going to Priscilla's house then to school. Couldn't figure out why I didn't choose to take Bus 145 straight to her house. Instead I took the MRT to Outram and changed to the Green Line to Tiong Bahru. How stupid. Luckily it didn't breakdown halfway. Then I reached ahma's house and collected my Beats earpiece! Aunt bought it for me! And it’s in rose pink, love it max max max. And I played with Jayden. He's so cute and he's smile is so sweet. And he's an extremely shy boy!

After that went to Priscilla's house to meet the girls but I didn't go inside because I cannot go into people's house for 49 days. Then went to school! So happy to see the environment again. The place where I went to study for 4 years. Especially the study area outside the staff room.. Brings back all the memories. So went back outside staff room to bring back the smell. Love the place. Finally it's time to go to the hall! The first teacher I saw was Mr Rayner Goh ^^ Then sat according to class! Mr Goh came and said, "Luckily you didn't drop combined humanities". I was like, oh gosh, other subjects must have flunked and C.Hum pulled it up?!" Enough of paranoid-ing. Mr Chong started off the ceremony with his always-so-perfect-pronunciation English. Absolutely miss his talking! Imagine hearing his voice almost every single day for a year of schooling and suddenly it stops for a month or two, then you hear him again. So after that, as usual, Mr Simen started his speech blah blah and so on, talked about the number of people getting the number of distinctions. Naming out the people who got 6 and 7 distinctions. And when he said Ashwin, we were like, WOAH, ASHWIN?!

After the speech, people with 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 distinctions were called to stage for a photo. The scary part comes! Collecting the results. Gosh this is so scary. I'm not gonna say my results up here. And I am super proud of Jiong Ray because he did extremely well this time round. A distinction for his science, which he used to fail in the past? I hoped it’s because of my teaching that helped. Hehe. Now he owes me Sakae! Then Ms Chay came to look for us! So touched! And she took my results slip straight away. Following that talked to Mr Goh, and rushed to find Mr Fang but to no avail. Then I called him but he didn't answer. But later he called me back and met outside the staff room! Miss seeing him so much! It’s like seeing a real-life Hyun Joong but he's not. He said he already knew my C.Hum results in the morning and wanted to SMS me but he decided not to. Okay can. And after that had a little chat with him and of course invited him to Sentosa. Although it’s a short chat, really appreciated him bothering to come and chat with me given his 'so cool' personality. And of course, he smiled at me! Heavenly smile. Then went back to the hall to look for other teachers. Otw say Mr Felix Tan and surprisingly he remembers my name! O.O Then chatted with Ms Lye (love her to the max), Mr Chui and Mr Chong. Main topic was also to invite them to Sentosa. HAHA. SENTOSA GANG!

After that went to 18chef to have breakfast+lunch+dinner. All in one meal. Cool max.

JAE

This JAE application process is 99x more stress than O level preparation, I swear. People keep brainwashing me. Because I'm interested in media and they say there's no market for media in Singapore. Business would be a better choice but I'm not that into it. What for take a course you're not interested in when you can choose and then drag your feet to school? That's the last thing anyone would probably do. Got very pissed off during the process and kept asking around for suggestions. Really want to thank Mr Chui for calling me and taking his time off to "counsel" me.

My uncle still wanted me to get into JC and I didn't want to. Somehow he got angry with me? Till now. He scolded me when I haven't even told him my numbering of the choices yet. Was asking Mr Chui how I could talk to my uncle and he said, if my uncle doesn't give the go ahead, then there's no point in discussing. He said that whatever people tell me, don't change my mind. Anyway, I'm the one studying, not them. Go for what I like. Everybody I asked said, "Go for what you like". And this two golden sentences Mr Chui told me, I'd like to share it with all of you:

1) degree / diploma just serves to open doors, after working for some years, you can pursue something totally different

2) u should follow ur heart, ask yourself what will make u go to bed at night satisfied

In the end narrowed down to a few choices and he suggested I take tourism for my personality. He knows that I don't like seeing numbers so accountancy/banking would not be that great for me. After that I still asked a lot of people, even my manager! I just merely texted her and she called me, scared the hell outta me. And including Singapore Idol's Duane Ho. I don't even know him but ya, who cares because he's in a media course and I want media. And finally, I submitted my application on 13 January, 2.00am! Was chatting with Jolene during the course and she slept at 6am with a 1030 shift that day due to her JPSAE application. Steady huh. So after all this, I seriously hope I get into my first choice pretty please?

aftermath

Sis bro and mom in Cambodia now and contacting thru fb! Taught me a new style of eating maggi mee. Bring me out for supper whenever i tell him imma hungry. Smoke & drink with me at home & playing poker card. Hais , th sudden death of him really shocked us all. He did make alot memories with us, much more then both our real father did. But he actually pampered you and hudson more then me. Sis ah sis, you tell me when u off we go out? When mummy is back, please come back & stay with us. Mummy keep asking me about you and she scrolled your whole fb today using my acc.

So as you can see, apparently mummy is stalking my fb! Hope she doesn't understand what the posts about Kim Hyun Joong are talking about or else I will get reprimanded again.

Daddy you haven't come into my dreams yah. I wana talk to you. So so much. Please stop making me cry daddy. Cos everytime I read my blog post about you, I would cry. Although its posted by me I still cry to myself. Thankyou everyone for the well wishes ^^ Daddy, I hope you'll be there for me too. I know you will.

K change subject. Tmrw I will be hoing back to school, so I wish I wish I wish I can see Mr Fang! Then I'll be like happy shit? Cos Mr Fang=KHJ. And Kim Hyun Joong is my happy pill (: yeah you got that. You did.

Pray pray pray. Everyone will be blessed tmrw!

today

Poly day, bear with me, or you can scroll down.

Today I left house at 10.15am and reached home at 7+pm. Yeah, I went to the poly open house at Ngee Ann and Singapore Poly with Jolene, Priscilla, Stephen, Randy, Iqabir and Jiong Ray. Okay I absolutely love love love Ngee Ann. It’s like I'm so familiar already because I've been there so many times for my F1 thing.

So first stop, we stopped at the BA school. Went to see the different courses. I seriously don't know what they were talking about. Had this tourism and resort management course in mind, so went in to take a look. Okay dang I also don't know what they were talking about. Then asked Oldie where is the goody bag, and he said, Ourspace. Nice name. So we went to Ourspace and collected our goody bag. It’s like a newspaper bag size. Black and blue. Inside there's this Mentholatum Acne cream. And there's this super cute pink Ngee Ann Poly Pen which is pink. Other than that there was the foldable water bottle which I already have. It’s in blue colour, so I still think my pink one is still nicer. After that we were still entitled to collect donuts! The mini ones. And a bottle of water, which you can choose between mineral water, afternoon tea and Aloe Vera. I chose the Aloe Vera one. Its in my freezer now.

Okay, enough of promoting Ngee Ann's goody bag. Next, my fave! School of Film and Media Studies (FMS). So the people were super (and I really mean SUPER) welcoming. They were like, HIIIIIIIII!!!!!!!!!!! WELCOME TO FMS!!! WHICH SCHOOL ARE YOU FROM????? And when I replied, I will be like... HHHHHHHHHenderson. HEN. Apparently a lot of people thought I was from Anderson when I told them I'm from Henderson. Hello I'm from Henderson and I'm super proud of it yeah?

So at FMS, WOW, Just what I expected! They had a recording studio with hosts and directors, where they were recording a game show. Those mass comm students were super good at talking! So I went to look at the Film, Sound, Video (FSV) course and taaaaaaaadaaaaaaaaaaa! They used the big big cameras like those in Mediacorp. So to every course we went, we would ask, Whats the COP? Then when they tell us, turn off. So seriously, media in NP is like fun!!!! And most importantly, the lecturer is a Korean. (Y) The people there at FMS are so welcoming, they tell us about the course, tell us that its the best choice for a course. Yes, I know, I want the course, but do you people want me? Btw, mass comm is pretty cool too, but min for English is B3. okay can.

Ngee Ann Poly ♥

Next stop: Singapore Polytechnic. Took a bus From NP to SP. And the collection of goody back is at the entrance. Seriously you could jam up the whole entrance. But luckily there are different queues for both born in 1994 and below and for 1995 and above. So obviously I'm 1995 and above and my queue was shorter, luckily. There was a shortage of goody bags all of the sudden so they had to pause 10 mins before resuming the giving out of goody bags. So have to wait for Randy as he's born in.. idk when. Btw I saw Jonathan! Like cool only. Sentosa gang FTW.

After that, went to eat lunch first. Ate mac. THERE WAS RUBBER DUST ON THE EATING TABLE. So I kept complaining about SP. After that went for the engineering led by some random blur student. She brought us to the place where they showcased their engineering projects but no one came to entertain us. Like they expect us to understand what they're doing. But engineering is NO for me. Then we went to the health or whatever one. Like gym siol! Then we went to the applied science tour. It was kinda cool but yeah, Physics, Chemistry, Biology. Enough!

Then we went for the media tour. I learnt nothing so I'm not gna talk abt it. But my favourite part is the scriptwriting room. COOL!

Yeah after that walked around until the open house ended and went to starbucks and went home!

Today my aunt contacted me and said that mummy's gonna bring my daddy's ashes back. Previously mum wanted to sprinkle it on the sea because of financial constraints. But I persuaded them into bringing them back cos I haven't prayed for daddy. So now it's confirmed that daddy's ashes will be back in Singapore! And I would need to go down to the temple to pray for him on Wednesday (Wensday). Okay at least it's back in Singapore so I can go down to pray for him whenever I miss him. Okay I miss him everyday.

So apparently my aunt told me that sis and bro cried when they say dad's body. I knew it! This Hudson still say, he and sis no heart, will not cry. Prease lor Hudson. I know that you're not that hard-hearted. For me, I didn't even see Daddy for the last time (!@#$%^&*) Occasionally tears well up in my eyes when I think of him. I think of the things he did for me. The spaghetti he cooked for me. I love the spag cooked by daddy because its tomato and I love tomatoes! I will always remember the times spent with daddy. Every second is a precious moment. What's sad is I don't have a recent photo of me and daddy :(

Daddy, when I looked back at the emails you sent me last year, I really miss you so much. These emails were the last things you left for me. I would just read them every time I miss you and say, I have the best dad on Earth, even though it’s a step dad. Daddy you once told me that even I'm not your real daughter, you would treat me like your real daughter. Did you know that when I was younger I didn't even know you were my step dad? You've always been my real father, always and will always be. I'm taking O lvl results next mon! I'm sure you'll bless me right? Cos you always did!

Right, I suddenly remembered when I was young, my handwriting was super swjfdkjebfebf. But you and mummy just patiently held my hand and wrote ABC with me. And during free time you would draw art pieces and then you would give them to me. I'm sorry daddy, I don't know where they are now. But your handwriting and your art pieces, they will always be etched in my mind. I know you have a super nice handwriting, especially your Chinese characters! Love them because you write in traditional Chinese.

Hi Daddy, I miss you. Come into my dreams and tell me all the things you've wanted to tell me the last 3/4 years where we haven't met yah? I know you already know what I want to tell you because up in your new home, I believe there's super fast internet and you are reading my posts. Yeah, toodles!

daddy

Hi Daddy, how are you doing up there? A better life I guess? I hope you're slowly getting used to it. Don't worry about us, mom, sis, bro and I will be good.

I shall make this post a not-so-sad one.

Hey Dad, even though you are my stepfather, you gave me even more memories than my real father did. I don't exactly know your D.O.D because I just received the news yesterday from Hudson that you've passed on due to a sudden heart attack. In bio terms: Myocardial infarction (MI) or acute myocardial infarction (AMI),where there is an interruption of blood supply to a part of the heart, causing the heart cells to die (source: wikipedia). The last time I saw you was about 3/4 years ago. I'm so sorry I can't even visit you for one last time because my passport has expired. And 'O' level results are coming out in less than a week. But Dad, don't worry, I've grown into a young lady now.

I still remember when we were younger, you had your own company that sells cloth and you were the managing director then. Every weekend, you, mom, sis, bro and me would stay together and watch television. And you would always take our things and hide, always teasing us. Then you would play the guitar and sing for us. You could play the guitar super well then. The piano too. We used to have a piano at home and you would teach me how to play a song. Every month, you would measure our height and make a marking on the walls beside our bedroom door. The markings are still there now. When mom went overseas to work and sis went into secondary school, there was only me, you and bro left. Every weekend, you would be the one taking care of me and bro. You would take us to shopping and we would buy many many many movies. Then we would go home and watch them together. You never fail to give me anything I wanted. Most of my idol's albums, you bought it for me. You still remember the time when you brought me to an autograph session? I was young and naive then. You then rushed to help me cut queue so I could get my album signed quicker. Back at home, you would allow me to use the computer more than you allowed Hudson to.

Things changed when you decided to close down your company. You wanted to change to selling birds' nest in China. But those bloody China buggers cheated you of your money like how they cheated mom. After that I really don't know what happened. Then you flew to Cambodia to work for Uncle Sam's company. (And btw Uncle Sam's company is one of my sponsors for F1-in-Schools ^^) You came back to Singapore once. And the last time I saw you, I remember, was at ahma's house gate. I contacted you through email once, and once through whatsapp. The whatsapp message was the last time I talked to you.

Even though the family dislikes you because you didn't help to support the family, I don't think so. You took care of me and bro for a very long time until you had to fly overseas for work. Yesterday, when I reached my workplace, I saw a spider on the wall. At that time I didn't know about the news yet. But thinking back about the spider I saw, I was pretty sure that it was you because when I see creepy crawlies, I would not hesitate to kill it. But yesterday I didn't. I was glad you came to see me.

Daddy, I believe God called you home because He wanted to help you end your misery on Earth. He wanted you to replay your role as a family man and look over us. Daddy, up there in your new home, I hope you will enjoy your new life and not forget us. I now believe that you have special powers that would give us the best. Daddy, even though I am not staying with sis and bro and mom is still in China, with your special powers, I believe that you will find us easily and look over us. And also, I believe that you can feel me writing this to you. If you're free, please come into my dreams. I know that you have many things to tell me. I will continue to grow into a nice young lady that you will be proud of. Daddy, maybe I'll join you up there 50-60 years later if I'm healthy enough to live that long. Wait for us okay? I know you will welcome us with opened arms and through this 50-60 years, I know you will make our new house an ideal one. I know you will decorate my room and make me feel like a princess, just like you always did. I want our home to be in your homeland, Taiwan.

If I could choose, in my next life, I would choose to be your child again, your real child. Finally Daddy, rest in peace. ♥

2012

HELLO! Happy New Year! Sorry it's been last year since I last updated. Boring post today. Don't know what to write.

So... life's been busy! Didn't update cos I was super tired after coming back from work. Have been reaching home after 10pm every single day since 29 dec (except 30 dec). It’s only a few days but its super tiring to go out early in the morning and coming back in late night. And I have been going to Oscar continuously since 29 Dec 2011. People there are super fun! But I don't like going there because I always have a shortage of money. It makes me feel super fail. Fortunately, these few days there was no shortage! I have to be more careful!

How did you all countdown? I spent the last few hrs of 2011 emoing because of the shortage of money T.T But I want to thank Joyce and Noel for always giving me chances!! Thank you so much! And Aunty Chilvi for being such a mother to Oscar. So on 31 Dec I ended work at 11pm and rushed to Tiong Park with Priscilla to meet some others. And our countdown goes like this... Walking to Tiong Park... reached some random spot beside the carpark at the last fifteen secs of 2011 and stoned until fireworks over... Then went home.. Yeah, simple life.

And on New Years' Day, worked again till 10pm! Today too.. Fortunately tomorrow I end at 4.30pm. I told my boss that I'll only be available till 6.30pm every Tuesdays because I want to come home to catch The Noose. I know the reason is lame but ya, everybody leads their own lives. And I'm learning opening tomorrow! Hope it won't be that difficult because I am supposed to open the shop, by myself (srsly?!) on Sunday.

After all these babbling, half a day spent with Wilson... guess what! He didn't scare me today! Perhaps if he reads this he will scare me again. Okay so today told him a lot of stories regarding politics. So lesson learnt is.. Ignorance is bliss, I shall ignore. And he told me about a lot of stories of the past work experiences. Plenty of gossips and rumours go around in the society but if you want to lead a happier life, then ignore. Because people say what they want. It's them, not you. It doesn't matter what others say, as long as you still believe in yourself. After all, it’s what people say; you still haven't said your piece and clear a name for yourself.

It’s a new year! As I heard the photographer at Oscar said, "HELLO!! A BRAND NEW YEAR, A BRAND NEW SMILE. GIVE ME A SMILE PLEASE!" If anything is bugging you in the past, it’s time to let go. Stay happy everyday because you never know if tomorrow is still coming. Sp make the best out of everyday and enjoy life!

Oh, remember to catch Chua Enlai, Alaric Tay and Michelle Chong on The Noose V tomorrow on channel 5, 8.30pm, and Ala and Rebecca Lim on Perfect Deception, 10.30pm! See yah!

2011

Last 3 days of 2011! Time for me to sum up the year.

2011 has been a really exciting year, especially when it is my graduating year. I would say that majority of my time spent in 2011 has been on preparing for the 'O' Levels. Inevitable -_- Other than the 'O's, another major event for me was the 2011 SYF for International Dance. This year has been a lot of up and downs for me, but overall it has been an awesome year. Since it's my graduating year, teachers make us the priority.

Many people had been into my life this year. Well let’s start with school. The teacher who helped me most, Mr. Chui. My form teacher, emaths teacher, amaths teacher and physics teacher. He is the best teacher who would willingly fork out his time to help us. But of course, as usual, most of his time would be taken up by the smarties in our class. That always leaves me very frustrated. That is why I dislike my class, like seriously. However, when I say I dislike my class, I don't mean I dislike the people in there. I just dislike their acts. Still to 4E1, thanks to the awesome people who always make an effort to include me in their activities even though all of you know I'm rather anti-social.

Secondly.... YES all of you know my favourite teacher, MR FANG. He's another teacher who would dig out time to give us consultations. And I mean really dig. Even if it's a 5 min consultation. Hey people I know all of you feel that Mr. Fang is boring because he never smiles and monotone. But no, he's awesome until cannot awesome, and he is very lame... the funny lame type. You just don't know him. And when he smiles, that cute smile just will make you smile to yourself too. If you miss him, this is my suggestion. Just go and watch Kim Hyun Joong's MVs. Yeah, you'll find a little of Mr. Fang in there (: And Mr. Fang! Its air-merh-zorn. Remember that and I'll remember your land fragmentation's Mr. Govinda Samy.

The other one is Mr. Chong. You never fail to laugh in his class. Even when he doesn't talk, his expressions just makes you laugh because... 4EB1 students know it! He rolls his eyes at every little thing. I don't know how to say it but his expression is just very funny. And he's a very good teacher because he corrects you at every wrong pronunciation you make. Only people who care about you corrects you. Yeah Mr. Chong, WENSSSSDAY!

Other than that, thanks to all the people who came into my life and helped me or who made me happy. GBY! On the other hand, CCA side, thinking back, it was REALLY REALLY tiring but girls, our effort has paid off didn't it? And I believe in 2013, all of you will achieve what all of us want to.

Not forgetting my idols. TEAM NOOSE, Chua Enlai, Alaric Tay and Michelle Chong! It has been really fun tweeting to you all and you all tweeting to me! Let's tweet more! And The Noose V will be a big hit because there are many NOOSERS out there. Let’s get noooooooooosey. By the way, please go and catch Michelle Chong's film, Already Famous, if you haven't. This few days may be your last chance to catch it! She took a total of 10 years to complete the story and I think we should give her some recognition for her hard work. Great work chelle! Everybody loves Ah Kiao and Barbarella Hosehbo Vannybella.

As 2011 comes to an end, I hope that all people out there would be grateful and not forget every person that has helped you in one way or another. And the people who harmed you, remember, don't do anything to them. What goes around comes around. Keep all the good memories and throw away the bad ones.

As 2012 approaches, I hope everyone will work hard and make this world a better place for you and for me and the entire human race. To all the final year students out there, work hard for your major exams! Don't ever feel like giving up and don't even think of giving up because you're already in final year. Remember why at first you held on so hard at first? To go to final year right? For those going on first year (like me), enjoy your new school. As Ms Lye said to me before, from now on, when you face the real world, without anymore shelter and protection from adults and lecturers, you will have to believe in yourself and hold fast to all your principles. Don't let the evil and meanness of people make you into a tough and mean person. Let life's experiences make you strong and beautiful.

For me 2012............ gosh 'O' levels results. Okay I know what is expected so I didn't really aim high. Hopefully I would be able to go to a poly and course of my choice. I know that poly life is very different from secondary school, so hope that I would be able to adapt well!

Yeah I have nothing to say anymore! Embrace the last 6 days of 2011.

So what does Christmas mean to me? To me, Christmas is like any other day of the December rainy monsoon season. Others festivals too. Chinese New Year... and all the other festivals that require us to visit family friends and relatives. These days are recognised as public holidays, but they are just like any other days. No festive mood. Maybe that's because I'm a boring person. During schooling days, when festivals hit, that will mean no school for the day, even when it's a weekday. I know it’s weird but I simply love going to school. Even more what-the-heck, if these festivals fall on weekends, that will mean no school for the following Monday. I hate festives.

The one I dislike most? Yeah, that's Chinese New Year. Many may like it, because you know it... Children and youngsters, all unmarried people like me get red packets. You know it, money. But I just dislike Chinese New Year. My extended family is not here in Singapore. So every CNY, the most I visit is around 4/5 families? Yeah that's it. The visiting takes only about a morning? And after that guess what is in for me? Going home and sleep. I used to play blackjack during CNY a few years back, but since 2010 I've stopped because I get addicted easily and lady luck doesn't like me. Another reason is because my cousins, uncles, aunts, siblings, mom... They gather at my grandmom's house, a 3 room flat. That means crowd. I hate crowds (that's why I seldom go to Orchard). I don't know why but I just cannot stand all the noise and having to find a place in the living room to sit. Apparently the sofa's all taken up by the adults. So all I do is, I find an empty house (like my mom's house), with my phone, music, laptop, internet and I stay there all day until dinner's ready. After dinner I would be forced to gather with the family but I always find ways to sneak out. The most I would do is to invite my cousins with me cos they're total jokers. But when there are cousins, there's brother and that means life's not good.

Sometimes I follow my uncle & aunt to friends and family visiting because they have a larger social network. Also just trying to earn just a little bit more money. But whenever I'm with them in a friend's/relative's house, I find a seat near to the corner of the room and sit there to wait until they finish their oldie's chat. I don't like to talk to other people. Unless they’re my friends. If not I'll just keep my mouth shut for the whole day. Anyway, nobody notices me because I'm not their child. In the end? The total money earned.... CONFIRM less than SGD$90. =.=

Another reason why I dislike Chinese New Year is because of its' preparation. YES, spring cleaning. The dust just gets all over my face and I especially hate it because I have sensitive nose. And also, the process of buying new clothes. I know teen girls like me would absolutely love buying new clothes, not to say, when there's someone's paying for them. My aunt, a few months before CNY, will remind me to buy New Year's clothes, but all I reply is, "It's okay, just wear my everyday clothes". Because like seriously, I don't know what clothes to buy. I don't have a sense of fashion. So to save the trouble and money, I would just stick to my old clothes.

So this Christmas, what did I do? Yes I did receive a gift or two. One from Tisha, the other one from my aunt. My aunt gave it to me because she bought extra. They think grown-ups like us won't like a present. Oh please I love presents, especially when they're wrapped. I did visiting too, to my uncle's friend's. But I didn't receive anything. They only gave it to my cousin. When I am in their house, I find a corner to sit down and wait for them to again, finish their talk. In short, I don't exist and don't want to exist when it comes to visiting. All these I did on the eve. On Christmas day, 25 Dec, that is today, as you can see, I'm at home on the laptop while the rest of the family is out to visit friends. This time I found a way to persuade them to let me stay at home.

Festivals... they are nothing to me. I enjoy work more than festivals, and I enjoy school more than work.

Clique

This post will be entirely about my clique. You can stop reading if you don't like us.

I have an extremely awesome clique which consists of 15 people. It consists of people from all over the world - Hong Kong, Malaysia, Indonesia, China, India, Vietnam... In short, ASEAN. I can never, at anywhere else find people so awesome like them. Yes, they are Wen Hui, Priscilla, Jolene, Tisha, Hui Yee, Jiong Rui, Lin Han, Ashwin, Alvin, Stephen, Binh, Kwong Ling, Iqabir, Sindhu and ME!

This is US! (most complete picture I can find)

All of us (except Ashwin), came to knew each other since we were in secondary 1. Ashwin joined us when we were in secondary 3. Although he joined us late, he bonded with us extremely fast and we all saw him as part of us. He can be terribly wild sometimes... I mean ALL the times, it was always him, together with Sindhu who brought laughters and joy to us. When he's serious, he IS serious.

In case you (somehow) realised that Sindhu's not coming back to Singapore anymore, he is STILL part of us, just that its long distant friendship. We keep in contact via facebook because that's the whole purpose of facebook ain't it?

This is how we met: We were in the same class in secondary 1, yes, except Ash again. He's in the first class while we were in the second. Till secondary 2, we were still in the same class. However in secondary 3, due to the difference in the subjects we took, were were dispersed all over the classes. Majority of them were in 4E2, while minority were in 4E1 and 4E4. That was when Ashwin joined us because he too, was in 4E2. Many may wonder how we managed to stay so knitted despite the difference in classes and subjects. Even our sec 2 form teacher was surprised when she saw our group photo. How we stay so knitted............. Well its a secret. Nah k, I'll share.

There wasn't really anything we did to stay close. Just that.. we love each other I guess? But one thing we made sure we did was always to come together during recess times if we had the same time slot. AND outings.... yeah, they're a must. Although not every 15 of us can make it to the outings, we ensure and try our best to be there.

We're a mixed group, with guys... girls and homosexuals. But we're one big family. People will think that there are bound to be some relationships going on between the group, especially at our age. Hell no. We're like brothers and sisters. Believe it or not, we even share the same bed during chalet. Of course, we know the limits. If you're starting to think the other way round I suggest you wake up your ideas.

Nevertheless, we have our girls' day out and girls' talk while the guys have theirs. Occasionally, we girls gather to gossip and share about the events we encounter in our personal lives. Its so much fun sharing about our lives and gossiping. If you haven't experienced it you may want to try it out.

Not to say, in a clique, there are bound to be some disagreements and all. What we do is stay cool and calm. Thats right! Cool and calm. Being aggressive and hot-headed won't help to solve anything at all. We may not talk to each other face-to-face to solve the disagreement because... don't you think its' rather awkward? (sometimes we do) but either of us will send a text to the other party to clear the misunderstanding. All of us take efforts to salvage our friendship, sistership, brothership, siblingship. I think the greatest gift from god to me are these 14 crazy people.

We may not be the prettiest/handsomest and smartest clique, but at least out friendship is true - Effin Fabulous 15.

People I meet

After working for a month, I am sure to have met many working adults. At first thought, working adults? Oh dang, fear decided to overwhelm me. I wasn't really sure if I could communicate them fluently. Fortunately, all the people I've met so far were extremely friendly, even my managers and supervisors! Okay so now I'm gonna list these people down. Only continue to read if you can bear with me.

Mui Yuan & Wei Ling

Mui Yuan is the assistant manager of the retail department (I think!). She was the lady who called me out for the interview. On the other hand Wei Ling is Mui Yuan's assistant (I think again). These 2 ladies, although hold a quite high position, they are extremely friendly and understanding. Make a mistake, they would say, "it's okay, count (stock take) again", followed by a smile! Usually when people (especially me) hear the word 'manager', they would think, "gosh, better not offend them". But gradually I found out that they aren't as scary as i thought they would be. Well of course, I'm still afraid of them.. and the thing is Wei Ling actually can see that I'm scared! (O.O)

Kevin & Yoong Meng

Kevin and Yoong Meng are the supervisors of the first venue I worked at, Images Of Singapore (IOS)! Kevin, on the outside looks like an ahbeng. Priscilla and me just totally freaked out when we were posted to IOS because we thought that Kevin would be fierce. But then Kevin said "I know I look very fierce, but I'm very good one! Don't be scared!" After hearing this, 1% of the fear in me subsided, but there was still 99% of fear. On work day, I found out that Kevin wasn't at all fierce. He just looked fierce. He even talked to us about SuJu, SNSD, Rain etc.. More in than us!

Yoong Meng on the other hand, is the quiet one. He was the one who briefed us on the shop's products and all. He is a very understanding person! He may look quiet on the outside but when you talk to him, he is EXTREMELY lame. I was paired up with Yoong Meng on the first official stock take day at the warehouse. He is very quiet worker. Not as RAWR as I thought a supervisor would be.

Steve

Steve is the supervisor of my posted station, Waterfront (WF). He is a man who would tell us about anything under the Earth. From MP3 to Apple to life stories. He is a very cheerful guy and treasures everything around him, especially his wife. He would tell me life stories. He tells me to be confident of myself and I will be a happy person. Sometimes out of the blue, who would jump and dance around. A mood lifter (:

Aaron

This handsome guy (in photos only) is a total joker. He looks like a gentleman but actually he'a not. My first word to him was "HELLO!". Talked to him out of boredom because that day I was really very bored hiding in the storeroom of IOS.First time hearing him talk, he sounds superb gentle. As time passes, yeah you know, true colours come out. He is not a gentleman and he blames me for everything. Even when it's raining (-.-). Haha but still, he is a very good friend and colleague!

Wajihah

Wajihah is one of the people I can talk to most comfortably and that's why I love working with her (apart from my friends, of course). She seemed fierce the first time when I saw her at IOS, that's why I didnt dare to talk to her! Only started talking to her at WF and we could talk about anything under the Earth!

Wilson

SCARY GUY! He always always never fail to create little heart attacks for me. He loves to tell me ghost stories and before I go to sleep, he would send me a text, "eh remember the story I told you this afternoon?". OKAY I REMEMBER, but you needn't remind me! Suddenly he would "BOM!" at you and make you jump. However he is very fun to be with. Another Aaron EXCEPT THAT HE DOESN'T LOOK AS HANDSOME (sorry), a more ahbeng one (:

Lowell

Imagine seeing a soft-spoken ahbeng. Yes, he's one. First time seeing him at boardwalk, didnt even say hello to him because I was afraid he would eat me up. But he turned out to be a soft-spoken guy and he studies in a junior college! Never judge a book by its' cover. Visit him at http://lolneglected.blogspot.com

Jonathan

Jonathan is a very... funny guy I guess. Every action he does and every word he says just makes me laugh till my stomach aches. The best part about him is that he is a BY2 fan! WOOTS! However, when he's serious (apparently I didnt see before, but he says he is thats why I'm editting this post), I think he is very serious. He is just cute.. (Jon call me write one). That's it Jon! Sit Cable Car again next time!

People at Oscar

Every single person at Oscar I meet is extremely hospitable! They talk to you like they've known you for a century. Love working with them because they make me feel like I'm partying instead of working!

If you've read about every person I talked about, thank you for bearing with me, you would realise that every single one of them is a good friend, none of them are fierce or barbaric. Thank God I work in a place with friendly people! I could just talk to them as if there was no age gap between us! That's a bonus for me I guess... Not many people work in a place with all the people so friendly, right?

Working

So I've decided to revive this blog using CPR since its Date of Death 2 years ago.

Hi, this is Crystal and I am aged 16 (as of 21 December 2011). I hope I will still be here on Earth next year, this day. I may not be blogging in perfect English but as long as Mr Darren Chong is not here, every thing's fine.

I've just finished my 'O' Levels on 14 Nov 2011. So now, I suppose most of the teens like me would be working part time?

Working has really been an experience for me. As a fresh just-out-of-school-human, every little thing I encounter in working days are completely different from school life. In school, there are always teachers who's there to come to your aid. Every where you go in the school, teachers would be there to help. In school, they give you a chance to correct your mistakes. They punish you because they want you to learn the good. They would be the most willing to help you clear your doubts if you had any. Your teachers stand up for you and protect you whenever you are in trouble.

However, as I come out into the society to work, I've realised that the society is very different from school life. Although we have managers and supervisors (whatever you call it) to guide us, they are not like our teachers at all. We have to learn to be independent as at this point in time, you would realise that behind your back, the teachers, they are all gone. They had set you free from their care, to see you grow up into an adult while they go coach the younger ones. Managers and supervisors do not guide us step-by-step like how our teachers did and would not be always there to help. They would expect you to be your best, not like in school, where sometimes we get a little sloppy and get constant reminders from our teachers, but I've also come to realise that they are more forgiving than customers.

Customers are like our examiners from Cambridge. They are the ones who would not hesitate to mark you down immediately if you did something wrong. It's just similar to our O level paper. You make a mistake, time's up, thats it. It would be sent to Cambridge and you would never get a chance to correct your mistakes. That's the way customers are like to us (at least to me). We are only able to serve each customer once and I would have to be at the top performance each time I serve them. A small mistake made, those fussy and picky customers will not hesitate to get straight to our manager. Following that we would have a good dressing down from them, but I haven't gotten one before ^^ Hence, each time I serve a customer, my heart will go jdsfcwemhugiuqwjhfbewuifh. I hope I will not get any scoldings at all in the future.

So after all these, I've been working for almost a month. Fortunately, for me, I work in a place with 80% of the guests being foreigners. I work in a tourist attraction in Singapore. That's right, you guessed it. Asia's favourite(oh really?) playground, Sentosa. Guests I meet everyday are extremely friendly. When they put on a smile on their face, I feel relieved because that means the guests are happy, therefore I'm happy too! Occasionally I meet a few fierce ones. I can imagine, they are just like the fierce markers of my O level paper, but I just have to put on a smile and treat that everything's going fine. Smile is the universal language, not English.

Oh and at my workplace, the fun thing is we get staff privileges for not everything, but almost everything, which implies that we get into attractions FREE! And also, there is this mystery shopper campaign, where this shopper would come into the shop disguised as a customer. They act like a customer and ask you a few questions so that they could evaluate your efficiency-ness and all. Which reminds me that there is no room to slack! So far I've met one mystery shopper but it was my senior who served her. Didn't know she was a mystery shopper until my senior told me. He said a mystery shopper would ask many questions out of the blue.

My thoughts? Each day I work, I meet many different people. Up till now, most of the customers I meet are from Malaysians. This made it easier for me as we had no communication barriers. Of all, my favourite type of guest were the ones from KOREA! I love their language and each time they speak, I would listen really attentively and try to pick up any words I know. I love it when I'm doing the redemption at Merlion because I would meet A LOT of Koreans. Yes a lot... About 75% of the guests would be Korean (Y). Unfortunately I am posted at waterfront, so there would be very little times I could work at Merlion unless there is a shortage of people there. But since I am posted at waterfront, I would make the fun out of it. I believe that no matter where I am working, there would be its advantages!
